Address mapping involves mapping email addresses to each other. This can useful if; you want to hide an email address from a recipient, your DNS is not globally resolvable so you need to redirect to one that is, or if you want to rewrite an email address.
To view and configure a address map list:
- Log in to FortiMail.
 - Expand the User pane.
 - Click Address Map.

- Click New..., or double-click one of the listed address mappings to modify the address map.
 - In the Internal email address fields, enter the local part of the email address that you would like to hide (the part before '@'), and then select a protected domain from the dropdown list.
 - In the External email address fields, enter the local part of the email address that you would like to the internal email address to be mapped to (the part before '@'), and then select a protected domain from the dropdown list.
 - If this is a new email address map, click Create. If this is an existing email address map, click OK to update.
