An operating system that runs inside a virtual machine is known as a guest operating system. A guest operating system can be customized or personalized for virtual machines created from vApp templates.


To enable Guest Personalization:


  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. Click on the Administration tab.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow beside Settings.
  4. Click Guest Personalization.
  5. Select the checkbox to Enable domain join for virtual machines in this organization.
  6. In the 'Domain 'name field, create a domain name for the guest.
  7. In the User name field, create a user name for the guest.
  8. In the Password field, create a password for the guest.
  9. In the Account organizational unit, enter an organizational unit to associate with.
  10. Click Apply.
