The Account Info tab contains internal data and personal information that is unique to each user.
Contents |
Internal Data
The Internal data section lets you configure what a user has access to, their password, and their account activation status.
Special Profile
The Special Profile dropdown list lets administrators select a role for the user.
- Standard – an account with no administrative privileges.
- Administrator – an account with administrative privileges.
- Shared – an account which has access to delegated workspaces.
- Guest – a temporary account which may have limited privileges.
Default Repository
The Default Repository dropdown list lets administrators select the default screen that appears when the user logs into Storig.
Changing a password
A user’s password can be changed at anytime.
To change a user’s password:
- In the Role editor, select the Account Info tab.
- Click Change Password.
- In the Password field, create a new password.
- In the Confirm field, re-enter the password that you created in the previous step.
- Click the checkmark.
Locking out users
When a user is locked they will be unable to access Storig.
To lock out a user:
- In the Role editor, select the Account Info tab.
- Click Lock out user.
To reactivate a user:
- In the Role editor, select the Account Info tab.
- Click Reactivate user.
Forcing a password change
For security purposes, an administrator has the option to force a user to change their password.
To force a password change:
- In the Role editor, select the Account Info tab.
- Click Force password change.
Personal Information
The Personal Information section allows administrators to edit a user’s personal information including their full name, email address, country, and language. An avatar option is also available to personalize the account.
To edit a user's personal information:
- In the Full name field, enter the user's name.
- In the Avatar field:
a) click update, to upload an image for the user.
b) click remove, to remove an existing image.
3. In the Email Address field, enter the user's email address.
4. From the Country dropdown list, select the user's country.
5. From the Language dropdown list, select the user's language.
6. Click Activate desktop notifications, to setup desktop notifications for the user.
7. Click Save.
