• The virtual machine must be powered on.
• The virtual machine must be running a Windows guest OS that has Remote Desktop functionality enabled.
• The virtual machine must be on a network that has an assigned IP and is accessible by the client.
• The RDP port 3389 must be open on the guest OS.

To set up remote desktop connectivity:

1. Log in to Cloudpath.
2. Click on the My Cloud tab.
3. In the left pane, locate the My Cloud section.
4. Click VMs.
5. Select a virtual machine, and then right-click your selection.
6. Click Download Windows Remote Desktop Shortcut File.

7. In the Download RDP Shortcut File pop-up window, click Yes.
8. Save the file.
9. After locating, double-click the file.
10. Click Connect.
