Setting up an MX Record with Hostpath

To create an MX record:


  1. Go to the DNS tab.
  2. Locate DNS, select Zones.

From the DNS-Zone page, select an active DNS zone from the list.

  1. Click on the Records tab.
  2. Click MX.

To create an MX record:

  1. In the DNS module, select a zone.
  2. Click Records.
  3. Click MX.



Field
Description
Hostname
Enter the hostname of the device.
Mailserver hostname
Enter the mailserver hostname. (All emails @hostname will be routed to this mailserver hostname).
Priority
Set the priority number for the mailserver. A lower number is higher priority.
TTL
Adjust the TTL value of the zone in seconds.
Active
Select to activate the MX record.
  1. Click Save.
