Create a virtual machine checkpoint in Hyper V

Checkpoints act like restore points. They allow you to save the state of your virtual machine so you can revert back to it at a later time. To create a checkpoint:

1. Click VIRTUAL MACHINES.

 

2. Select the name of the virtual machine that you would like to modify.

3.  Click CHECKPOINTS.

 

4. Click CREATE.

 

5. Enter a display name for the checkpoint in the FRIENDLY NAME field.
6. Enter a description in the DESCRIPTION field.

 

7. Click the checkmark.
8. Click YES to confirm the checkpoint.
