You can connect to a virtual machine right from your desktop by using the Remote Desktop Connection file.

Requirements:

  • The virtual machine must be powered on.
  • The virtual machine must be running a Windows guest OS that has Remote Desktop functionality enabled.
  • The virtual machine must be on a network that has an assigned IP and is accessible by the client.
  • You must have the RDP port 3389 open on the guest OS.

To set up remote desktop connectivity:

  1. Log in to CloudPath.
  2. Click on the My Cloud tab.
  3. In the left pane, locate the My Cloud section.
  4. Click VMs.
  5. Select a virtual machine, and then right-click your selection.
